St. Agnes School Parents Club Newsletter

Parents' Club

St. Agnes School Parents’ Club works to support and enhance the educational ministry of the school. Community building, fundraising and parent education are the primary goals of this family-oriented group.

Parents’ Club offers a tuition rebate through the SCRIP fundraising program. Families are required to participate in the SCRIP Program or to use the buy-out option. More information about this program can be found in the August packets.

Parents' Club meets on a monthly basis throughout the school year and all St. Agnes parents are encouraged to attend the meetings. Participation in Parents' Club is a great way to meet other families, stay more closely connected to your child's education and enhance the experience of St. Agnes School.

Parents' Club Events

A wide variety of family-friendly events are offered throughout the school year. Enjoy these activities as a participant, or help out as a volunteer. It's a fun way to earn required service hours too! In addition to the events below, Parents' Club supports Catholic Schools Week, Secret Santa Shop, Parish Auction, Teacher Appreciation and many other school activities.

Information about specific exhibits and demonstrations will be available closer to the event date.

Fundraising

The St. Agnes Parents' Club strives to give back to the school and parish, not only through the production of events for our students and families, but with its financial support as well. Parents' Club generates funds through a variety of activities, including used uniform sales, directory sales and other smaller events, but the majority of the money it generates comes from SCRIP sales and the Black Friday Raffle.

SCRIP

In lieu of traditional fundraisers like selling magazines, candy or gift wrap, Parents' Club offers the sale of SCRIP, which is essentially a gift card program that returns a designated portion, known as a rebate, of the purchased card amount to the school. There is a rebate associate with every card and there is no additional cost to you. Cards are available for hundreds of local retailers, restaurants, hotels and more, and can be used for everyday purchases, just like cash.

As you purchase SCRIP cards, half of the rebate amount associated with the card goes directly to St. Agnes School and the other half accrues in an account for YOU and can be applied to tuition and other fees in the following school year.

St. Agnes families are required to participate in the SCRIP program. Specific details of the purchase minimums and the buy-out option are available in the Orientation packets. You may download the form here.
