St. Agnes School is a Catholic school seeking a principal to lead 307 students, PreK-8th grade, in a faith-filled environment, and to maintain a strong Catholic identity, academic excellence and a faith-filled community of service. 

St. Agnes School is located in Springfield, Illinois, the “Land of Lincoln” and the capital of the State of Illinois.  Springfield has a population of almost 117,000 people.  St. Agnes is located on the northwest side of Springfield, in close proximity to the Catholic High School, Sacred Heart-Griffin.

St. Agnes School welcomes students from Springfield and the surrounding outlying areas of Athens, Chatham, New Berlin, Petersburg, Pleasant Plains, Riverton, Rochester, Sherman, Williamsville and Thayer.

The School is accredited by the State of Illinois, the National Education Association and the Diocese of Springfield, Illinois. A re-accreditation visit is scheduled for March 27th, 2018.

Faculty:  27 lay teachers, 1 Springfield Dominican Sister who teaches, 6 classrooms aides, including one Dominican Sister, 2 full time secretaries.

The principal of St. Agnes must be a practicing Catholic, hold a masters degree in Administration and Supervision or be working toward it.  Teaching experience is required and, preferably, prior Administrative experience. Salary is commensurate with experience.
